TYPES OF COURSES OFFERED

NUTRITION BASICS

Nutrition Basics courses are for those who are just beginning their health journey and/or need more information to succeed. Some examples of Nutrition Basics courses include:

  • Understanding Macronutrients
  • Boosting Fiber Intake
  • Importance of Hydration
  • Reading Nutrition Labels

These courses will help the learners understand what is in the food they are eating every day and why it is important to pay attention to what they are consuming. 

ADVANCED LEARNING

Advanced Nutrition Courses are for those who are already familiar with the basics of nutrition and want to dive deeper. Examples of Advanced Courses include:

  • Understanding Micronutrients
  • Optimizing Your Gut Microbiome

  • Choosing Organic Foods

These courses will expand on the Nutrition Basics information and provide a more holistic approach to sustainable healthy living.

Our Disease Prevention & Management Courses are focused on helping learners make simple, yet impactful dietary changes to support specific areas of health. Examples of topics include:

  • Health Promotion in Older Adults
  • Boosting Immunity for Illness Prevention

These courses will teach learners how to prevent or manage disease with dietary measures that are easy to implement.

HEALTH ON A BUDGET

Our Budgeting Classes help the learners understand how to eat healthy when living on a budget. Examples of learning topics include:

  • Low-Cost Recipes and Restaurant Options

These courses will promote healthier food choices in those who may not have the ability to buy organic foods or go grocery shopping every week. These classes are always offered free of charge.
